Let me make better use of your $2000.

Here:

CPU + Motherboard Combo: Intel Core i5-4670k + ASRock Z87 Extreme6 - $334.98 (@ Newegg.com [Save $80])
Memory: G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 2133MHz - $63.89 (@ Newegg.com 10% Discount)
Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler H110 - $108 (@ Newegg.com)
CPU Cooler Fans: Four bgears b-Blaster 140 140mm (Push/Pull on H110)- $54.76 (@ Newegg.com)
Case: Corsair Carbide Series 500R - $94.99 (Free Shipping) (@ Amazon.com)
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 770 Windforce 3X OC - $409.99 (@ Amazon.com)
SSD 1 (Boot/Os/Programs): SanDisk Extreme II 240GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive - $224.99 (@ Newegg.com)
SSD 2 (Games): SanDisk Extreme II 240GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive - $224.99 (@ Newegg.com)
HDD 1 (Raid 0) : 1TB Western Digital Blue - $58.99 (@ Amazon.com)
HDD 2 (Raid 0): 1TB Western Digital Blue - $58.99 (@ Amazon.com)
PSU: Rosewill CAPSTONE Series 650-M 650W - $104.99 (@ Amazon.com)
Monitor: Asus VH238H Black 23" Full HD HDMI LED Backlight LCD Monitor w/Speakers - $129.99 (@ Newegg.com)

Total: $1869.55

No point in doing a brand new build on Ivy Bridge, Haswell is out, go with 1150. No reason to back to 1155 at all, just nonsensical at this point for people starting new builds. You don't need hyperthreading either from what I can tell. So 4670k will be more than fine. H110 w/ those fans in Push/Pull will give you plenty of headroom for overclocking (heat wise 4.7-4.8 will be more than obtainable).

Also, to all the PSU Nazi's, went with the 650W Capstone to allow for SLI 770's. wink.gif

you could get a 3tb hdd for the price of those two hdds in r0. Just partition In 500gbdrives and you'll have great speeds. Other than that a solid build

Ok for the given budget i'm goin to choose the LGA 2011 platform for futuristic upgrade if you want....

here's the list ...

CPU : Intel Core i7-3820 3.6GHz

MotherBoard : Gigabyte GA-X79-UP4

RAM : Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3-1600

CPU Cooler : Cooler Master Hyper 212

SSD : Samsung 840 Series 250GB

HDD : Seagate Barracuda 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM

GPU : EVGA GeForce GTX 770 2GB

PSU : XFX ProSeries 850W 80 PLUS Gold

Optical Drive : Samsung SH-224BB DVD/CD Writer

Case : Cooler Master HAF 912 ATX Mid Tower

Monitor : AOC E2460SD 60Hz 24.0"

i gave 850w PSU for a headroom if you decide later for a SLI 770 card and a 212 evo cooler only for stock clock of your CPU or a little OC if you want..... bang for the buck and futuristic upgrade on incoming Ivy-E processor + Extreme good CPU cooler,go with this thumb.gif

here's the link http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1hwEM

Total cost is $1706.60 including shipping, mail in rebates and combo discounts.....
