Help On Watercooling in Corsair 540

I already have a MCP655 pump and was wondering if i can use a Monsoon Dual Bay Reservoir/Pump combo mounted vertically. I have heard that a normal reservoir can function normally as long as the outlet is on the bottom of the inlet, but I'm not sure if it will work with a pump attached to it. I plan on mounting this combo on the Corsair 540 ( I know its not the best for watercooling, but I like the case). Let me know what you guys think, thanks!

Here is what the reservoir/pump combo looks like. http://www.frozencpu.com/products/19744/ex-res-518/Monsoon_Series_Two_Premium_D5_MCP655_Dual_Bay_Reservoir_w_Quick_Change_LED_Control_-_Matte_Black_w_Blue_Trim_M2-D5P-BL.html?tl=g30c97s152

And for the case

Should be fine like you said as long as the pump inlet is below the water level in the reservoir. How are you planing your loop? what rads and where? How are you going to run your lines from your pump/res to the other side of the mobo tray?

Yea I ordered mine a few days ago on the corsair website. They said they will ship BY June 25, so there is a chance they ship earlier? As for routing the tubes, I have an idea of how I want to do it, but I will see how it works when I get the case. If anything, I'll figure something out wink.gif. I've been reading around and people who have the case for review confirm that you can mount a 240 rad on top and 360 on front, so that is what I'll be doing. I currently have one EVGA 670 FTW and planning on buying another and water cooling both as well as my cpu.

Where are you reading about that at? I've been trying to find some early reviews with no luck

I read it on some forum, now I can't find it. I have been going through a lot of forums so my memory on it is kinda bleh. But it states here that you can do a 280 and 360 radiator (If I remember correctly they have to be slim radiators). http://www.corsair.com/fr/pressrelease/new-corsair-pc-cases-get-the-cool-and-silent-treatment .

Also, came across this earlier, might be useful. http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=119404
