Is "Install All Drivers" feature on ASUS motherboard CD safe?

I always heard it is not recommended to install multiple drivers at once as it may conflict with other drivers. Yet, ASUS have this feature on their motherboard CD which allow installing multiple drivers at the same time.

Any thoughts, guys and girls?

It's safe, but unlikely that you need absolutely all of those drivers. Find out what parts of the motherboard you're not using, and then just make sure you don't install the drivers for those parts. That way, nothing unnecessary gets installed (hopefully).

They always have some trial crap on there you don't want and you probably don't even want to load up all the drivers and software they have. I would just install the audio see what windows update doesn't pick up in the devices manager after a few update and restart sessions. You might need some usb 3 stuff and that is it after letting windows update take care of it.

Also there are usually more up to date drivers on their website.

I don't know about letting Windows Update install drivers. In my personal experience, I've always found it to be better to just install the drivers that I need from the manufacturer's website and ignore any and all drivers offered by Windows Update.

Humm, I went to install Intel Rapid Storage Technology, ASmedia RAID, Intel USB 3.0, and they all had a warning message on the installation screen saying It is very important that I exit any running programs. Yet, ASUS InstALL is running. Any thoughts?

You're gonna be fine. The whole exit any running programs is a pretty standard warning and it won't inflict on anything that you have a simple installer program running.

Thanks for the reply. I'm still curious to know what others think...

i only installed the drivers i needed, like the audio, network and usb3 drivers
i didn't need the rest so i didnt install them, then i decided to mess around and i installed everything just to see what each included program do, it's almost useless, you can monitor your system and fan speeds and crapware like that, cpu-z and hwmonitor are better IMO.
