And what is different from the normal console with the launch edition?
One is guaranteed to be in the first batch of consoles (on launch day). The rest are are in a queue to eventually get a console once supply is available.

Nothing, launch just means that you get the console the day it comes out. Standard has to wait until next shipment.

I have preordered two from Blockbuster, one to play other to flogg on fleabay.

Also I find it strange that the UK amazon site only has one PS4 and its all its ever had I believe. It just says "check if your post code is listed, if it is you cant get release day shipping".

So from that I assume UK Amazon has plenty in stock?

If only there was a way to guarantee getting one at launch. Maybe a system where you pay now and they ship it once it's released. Oh well.

Nobody pays up front for pre order, you only pay when it gets close. i.e day before.

My blockbuster orer says PS4 released on 15th Nov.
