I'm finally upgrading from my LG Optmus V. The choice is between these two phone right now. I'm having trouble figuring out which to pick. Any thoughts?

If I was staying on VM, I would do it like this. If 4G LTE is available in your area go for the Victory. If LTE is not available then get the Galaxy S II. The S II does have WiMax capability but last time I checked the coverage on it is very select. Either way you will get the 3G. I don't know if there is a particular reason for the S II since the hardware is pretty similar but I would just choose it for the slightly bigger screen and it already being a more established phone.

On a semi-related note I switched from Virgin Mobile to T-Mobile Monthly 4G on the LG Nexus 4 smile.gif If T-Mobile coverage is good in your area check them out, their HSPA+ speed is really great for me.

No 4G wimax or LTE, I probably won't see it for some time where live. T-mobile is okay around WNY but not great. I would love a Nexus but it's not in the budget, 200 or less.

I'm leaning towards the S2, looks like you can overclock it and its reasonably spec'd.

Get the S II... There is more aftermarket Rom and kernel options for it since its a much more popular and widespread phone
