I am a coder as well.
Don't forget the TN color shift issues, which is more noticeable when staring at solid backgrounds filled with text -- than when playing video games.

That could even favour 1440p IPS. But that gives you severe fluidity compromises (if you are sensitive to motion fluidity).
The ideal gaming system isn't the ideal coding system.
But you might not care much.

You do owe it to yourself, to try out 120Hz -- get a single monitor -- and compare to your existing IPS monitors.
You'll quickly discover the pros and cons, and figure out what you will like (color vs motion)

so i got my self a 360 to see if it will satisfy my needs tongue.gif and i got a game few used games, and man those xbox 360 graphics suck! compared to the my pc graphics, also i went to a friends house and he is using one of those koren 27 120Hz monitors and it looks pretty good he has a single one but it looked nice, BF3 ran smooth and looked good...

But! i still dont know if i want to multi monitor gaming or not.. I know the title says BF3 but now days im playing eve and League of legends way more.. Also i may start playing wow again

I have tried a bunch of multi-monitor setups, and I personally find the best overall to be a 27-30" 1440p/1600p in landscape in the center, and two 1440x900/1600x1200 in portrait, one per side. I use my PC for a lot more than just gaming, including audio editing, and my grad school work. With the PLP setup, I can have two documents on the portrait displays showing over a full page each, and 2+ Internet pages open in the center monitor. Alternatively, I can have my editing software open in the center, the input graphs on one side monitor, and a wordpad open on the other for quick notes about the project (ie what times are needing most work).
For gaming, it also gives a great center view, and the peripheral provided by the side panels is just that: peripheral. I find that 3x landscape is too wide.

Something that I am looking into are the 21:9 panels, as I think they could be phenomenal for gaming, giving most of the immersion of the three monitor setup butat far less cost, far lless desk real estate, and with a performance penalty somewhere between 1080p and 1440p.
