the i5 4670K or i5 3570K for my upgrade

Thread Starter
So pretty much after getting deployed I had to shelve my water (or liquid) cooled dream and I thank you all for outing up with my million questions about it. However as you can see from my sig I do need an upgrade and right now I am trying to decide between the i5 4670K or i5 3570K since they are basically with in about 10 of each other right now at NCIX.com and I plan on paring the CPU with a GTX 770.

The rig will be used primarily for gaming with some light digital art capabilities and your general every day-to day internet/doc usage.

I guess that is all you guys need to know eager to see your suggestions.....

I'd go with the i5-4670K, if only for the new CPU instructions (which will be used more in software as time goes on) and improved connectivity (more SATA-III and USB 3.0 ports) with the Z87 chipset.

Both will give you the performance boost you seek and both will be able to power even a Titan gfx card. Since you are buying new i suggest to go with 4670K. Its the new socket and there is no reason to buy older tech unless ofc you find a super deal that saves you a some/lot of money.

I'd deff go with the 4670k.

I mean, you won't see much of a difference between the two, but the 4670k will process a little faster. Not much noticable though.
