My photography setup is a point and shoot Panasonic, with a light box, (very) cheap tripod, and a few desk lamps. I made my light box with about $4 worth of materials, and it's definitely paid off. I used the most 'manual' setting I could, opened up the aperture to the widest possible, and set the ISO speed to 200. If you leave it on auto, the camera will often bump up the ISO to something like 1600, which causes grainy pics. Because the ISO is so low, you need to set the shutter speed according to your situation, I used anywhere from 1/5 to 1/50 IIRC. This is why you'll need the tripod.

Wow, and I was thinking you have some sort of DSLR 1000$ camera with studio lights! Thanks for sharing the settings, I'll try it out with my next pics!

No worries. Lighting is one of the most important things with photography, so the better the lighting, the better the shot.

Second Update

My memory arrived a couple' days ago. Nothing too exciting, but I took some shots anyway. I wish the PCBs were black, but I guess they'll be hidden for the most part. Picking up some WC gear very soon, photos will be up later.

Third Update

As mentioned in the previous update, I have picked up my first lot of watercooling gear. wheee.gif

XSPC D5 Dual Bay Reservoir

XSPC FLX White Tubing

XSPC EX240 Radiator

The shop I bought from was not able to get the Alphacool XT45s in stock until August, so I went with the EX240s instead. I'm kinda glad I did, as I'm not sure how I would have dealt with the extra 10mm thickness on the top radiator after I did some test fittings. I have also placed an order with EKWB for my fittings, blocks, and pump.

Thanks for subbing! By the way, congrats on MOTM, amazing build.

My current lighting setup is 2x 60W frosted incandescents behind some tissue paper... tonguesmiley.gif Google tells me this is about 3000K.

Thanks Ninja! I am looking to get some different lights for my lamps as they are too gold for my tastes, and the white balance is always looking like poo! Anyways, good luck with your build.. I'll be watching ph34r2.gif

Paid for the shipping for my graphics card, and the rest of the water cooling bits. biggrin.gif It'll probably be about a week or so before it all arrives.

Fourth Update

I decided to flush my radiators, as I was bored today. I was surprised to find quite a bit of corrosion on the inside of them.

Corrosion on threads.

Internal corrosion.

Bright green! confused.gif

Swab I took of the inside.

I tried flushing the radiators with boiling water, and that didn't seem to do much. I was thinking of soaking them in a 50/50 vinegar/water mix, but I won't do that until I hear back from the shop I purchased from. I'm not too keen on experiencing this again, so I may end up swapping these for Alphacool ST30s. That also means I can run the top fans internally, which would be nice.

Is this a normal amount of corrosion? Should I return these, or should I try clean them as best as possible? Thoughts on swapping them for ST30s?

thats not normal at all and i would probably return it. I mean unless you're desperate to not have to do it. if it has problems like that it will be very difficult to get rid of.
