Would like some help reviewing a ~$1000 gaming centric build.

I've come up with a build for my friend to help him get started in PC gaming. His budget is around $1000.

A few details:
Price does not include a monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, or OS.
He will be OCing the processor a little bit.

I literally just went through newegg and checked for good reviews. Any help would be appreciated!

If you can with the budget I would swap the ivybridge 3570k for a haswell 4670k this would mean you want a socket 1150 Z87 motherboard too.

The 32GB SSD I wouldn't even bother it's small wait till you can get a 128GB which will take your OS and some games

If you stick with ivybridge I would get a gigabyte z77x-d3 motherboard over that ASrock one

A little help from reddit.com/r/buildapc.

This build actually makes more sense because apparently the price/performance difference doesn't make sense going from a 7950 -> 7970. Thoughts?
