Will my i7 2600K bottleneck SLI 780's?

Thread Starter
Hey guys, im building a new computer next week and am going to be ordering the parts on monday. For GPU's im going to rock SLI 780's but am curious if i should upgrade my 2600k to a 4770k although i know if i want to get peek performance out of the 4770k i would have to delid it and am not sure how i feel about doing that. At this moment i have my 2600k at 4.8ghz with a corsair h110 and get great temps. Whats your guys opinions?

The 2600k doesn't have pci-E 3.0, so changing the motherboard for that function is useless.

You'll need SB-E, IVE, or Haswell to get pci-E 3.0

You only lose like 5% TOPS from PCI-e 2.0 from 3.0. Therefore it is not even necessary to push that much cash just for that 5% boost (and I mean it is a 5% boost that can be considered negligible).
