I am looking to purchase this monitor in the upcoming month as I return home.... I currently do not have any monitors for my desktop, and previously was using a LG TV. Below is a link to newegg, and a monitor that was recommended to me for gaming... what are your guys ideas and opinions.....

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236313

This monitor is like 270 dollars or so, if you think for that money I could get something better , more for my money, please share your links as well. and This is just monitor number one, i plan maybe 6 months down the road ... to purchase a second one... when I can and find purpose for a second one... IE school projects copy and paste or whatever smile.gif

thanks,

Looks good to me . Looks like a good TN panel, you should be happy with it.

Ironsurvivor,

Thanks for the feedback, this will be my first monitor, I have been gaming on a laptop for past couple years... no serious games because I can't handle them but I recently build a desktop but then deployed but now almost home and will finish what i started.... with that laptop i used an LG TV for my monitor.. but then before leaving leaving i used my friends monitor... don't know name or type but it was so much better than this 47" LG TV that it had such noticable change. Colors, Motion all of it was amazing... and it was only like 22" ... So i figured no more LG get me a nice monitor.. and really enjoy the games smile.gif

The VG248 is one of the fastest gaming monitors available at the moment.

144hz doesn't make this monitor, rather the input latency and response which this excels in. All refresh rates to boot.

I used to have a 5760x1080 setup (3 1080p screens) then I sold them and bought a single asus pb278q 1440p monitor and in my opinion it was worth it. I love the added clarity and the beautiful resolution along with the superior ips viewing angles, but they are very expensive.
