Issue with seasonic x660 pro

Hello!

It's been 4 months since I bought this PSU. Ive read many reviews and I trusted the quality of seasonic PSUs.

I usually leave the pc turned on for long periods and there are no problems with the electricity in my house.

However, yesterday I turned the pc on and a few minutes later it just shutdown by itself. Every time I tried to power on the fans would spin for a while and stop, even though the mobo green light were still lit.

I've run the paper clip test and I found that the PSU's fan behaves the same as the computer's fans: couple spins and stops.

Someone told me that the paper clip test wouldnt actually work because the seasonic x660 would need a much bigger load to make its fan spin. However, as I said, the fan actually spins for a while...I dont know.

I dont have another PSU nor another mobo for testing.

So Is there a way to find out 100% if the problem is with the PSU or maybe something I could do to fix it?

Thanks!

This might be a stupid question but do you have another PSU you could test your PC with?

No I dont :/

Something I found strage is the mobo green light is still on. So it's getting some kind of power from somewhere.

The motherboard could still be dead

I had a Rampage III Extreme that was dead but the light was still green

But isnt the paper clip test right for those kinds of situations? I mean, it's replacing the need for a mobo. I connected everything to the PSU but the mobo, and the paper clip in the green/black holes. Turn the switch on the PSU on and the computer's case fans spinned and stopped right after.

Correct me if Im wrong but the fans shouldve kept on spinning until the psu switch was off. (If the PSU was in good shape of course).

It could be a dead PSU or a dead motherboard but since i am not there and can look at it i cant tell you for sure
