Yeah, I don't know if the pipes should get really warm. I just know if you actually had them stuck to something at 100C, you'd probably feel heat dissipating. The tubes are designed to be low-evaporation but not insulating.

The fact that it hits that high of a temp means that either it can't dump the heat to your block, which you in theory addressed when you made it snug with the spacers, or that it can't move the heat away from your block. Or, I suppose Intel could have botched the TIM on the inside of your IHS.

Can you see what temps you get with the stock cooler to see if it does happen to just be your chip?

Tried 4.3 at 1.25v and getting this;

i think thats normal now for haswell.

although for me that temp is somewhat high but thats depending on your location/country

Yeah. That doesn't look amazing but it does look reasonable for Haswell. What did you change for that last run? Just lower the voltage a little?

I get really different temps with Prime95 and Intel Extreme Tuning Utility. IETU maxes out at only like 65 degrees at 4.5ghz
