EVGA 670 Seems... Different

Hi OCN <3

So Monday I got a second 6970 and used it about an hour and was very disappointed in how crossfire was for games.Tuesday I got the last 4gb 670 SC from Frys and joined the green team . This card seems a bit different than the other 670 SC 4gb cards I have seen. The back plate looks different. Also my boost clocks are 1124mhz and not the 1046mhz like it is suppose to be. Im not complaining at all about that extra clock. Just curious why it would be that much higher. Did I get a 670 on steroids or something?

The card runs really cool. Maxing out BF3 and gaming for a few hours the card only gets around 65-68*c with the fan speed around 65-70%. I cant even hear the fan going in my case. Pretty impressed. I always felt like EVGA was an expensive fanboy GPU brand. Glad I decided to give it a shot.

Picture of the different back plate. I have a few other pictures. Let me know if you guys can see it. Just doesnt look like the back plate I have seen on the others.

Congrats looks like you grabbed yourself an EVGA GTX 670 4GB Superclocked+ - with boost values, they can go higher depending on how cool your system is running. Enjoy the green side of things thumb.gif

Make sure to download EVGA Precision X software and set a custom fan curve to get your temps even lower.
