what power supply to use?

Thread Starter
so i finally finished my first build only to find out my psu (raidmax..yes i know. i got it as a gift though) is crap. also,my mobo needs to be rma'd as it doesn't post (or it does but doesn't provide video from a gpu or on board ports). i was going to upgrade to two 780's in a month ( i got a gtx 460 to hold me over) i might as well just get a psu that can handle two 780's. so what are some good ones? also il be running a 3570k at 4.5ghz

I just got a Kingwin Lazer platinum 850w. So far it's been great and very quiet. I wouldn;t go below 800w for sli 780s and get 80+ bronze or higher.

The PC Power & Cooling Silencer Mk III 850w is worth a look.

It's built by Super Flower and has all Nippon Chemi-con capacitors. The price ($140 AR $20) isn't bad either...

You can do with a 750 watts PSU fine you dont need 850 watts

A Rosewill Capstone-M 750 is pretty good bang for buck

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182264

Or this would be even better
http://us.ncix.com/products/?sku=75060&vpn=FD-PSU-NT3B-800W&manufacture=Fractal%20Design

OMG 115$ thats 5 cheaper then the Capstone-M and its 50 watts more as well as much better made grap that one its a steal for that price
