doing a silent, and dust proof build - Page 2

our 6 intake fans to 1 exhaust fan ratio is way out of balance. You want like 4 intake to 3 exhaust. Filter resistance may make the ratio 5 to 3.

If you have a total intake cfm capability of 200cfm and only 40cfm exhaust than all the air your case will flow is 40cfm. You need similar size exhaust area to intake area for air to flow through case.

Just remember that the 16db is for one of them. With 4 you are looking at something closer to 25db + CPU cooler + PSU + GPU cooler.
Decibels aren't additive. Uses a log scale so 4 fans might only be 18dB.

4x 16dBA = 22dBA but remember that is fans in open space, not pulling / pushing air through grills and/or filters, past HDD cage, etc.. all of which increase the dBA considerably.

Far from it. I was actually being quite generous with only 25db. In that case it will likely be more.

Don't put your casing on the floor..

that will reduce tons of dust, this the reason I prefer Lian Li a05FNB or smaller MaTX casing because they can place on shelves/table with ease.
