The FCC is literally Chaired by former Executives of the Broadcasters or close friends/family. The FCC has told Google several times already to go fly a kite, because Google wanted to open up the White Space for Wireless ISPs to use it, since it was abandoned by the Broadcasters during the Digital Television Transition.
So yea, Intel has very little leeway with the FCC and this matter. The amount of power and money in play AGAINST Intel is massive.......
I would be truly surprised if this ever came to market/life.
