please can anybody tell me what the real max safe temps are for my intel q9550?please help,i have seen where it says switch off at 60?but i seen others say 72,i read one post where he said 80 to 90 is safe?oh god that does not help me at all?haha

my q9550@3.6 seems to be stable at about 60c ish depending on the wheather,it is watercooled but i think the block mite need changeing i am not sure(dangerden rbx)?it runs prime95 perfect and occt,both temps about the same on both tests,it plays battlefield3 absulutly perfect and does not get much above say 57c tops???????? i just want to know that i am not killing my cpu?????,any help would be great,please tell me i am not killing my cpu.

i realy would like to take it up near that $g but i wait to hear from you thanks

I ran a Q9650 on 70c while gaming for over a year, as long as you keep the voltage to a decent level, these chips will live forever
