Living room PC are powered by AMD

Thread Starter
It seems that in the HDCP space AMD has quite some success with their Live! brand, for the first time (in history I would say) AMD leads Intel on a market segment Didn't see this coming...

Good to see AMD still staying competitive in afew markets (server,HDCP). I love my conroe, but man, I miss my opteron. There is always something to be said about rooting for the underdog.

(Go AMD)

cause Viiv sounds so stupid. That's the biggest reason....guaranteed!

Also, the fact that Viiv enabled processors are way overpriced....

I agree with Sideburns. AMD Live! does sound better. lol.."Live!" Doesn't that sound convincing? A typical consumer wouldn't know what on earth is "Viiv."

Does anyone know if there is any kind of advantages of either though? Seems like the same crap to me..
