Looking for a REALLY GOOD fan (for myself, not the computer)

Thread Starter
Now that it's summer, I like to sit outside and work on my laptop. However this month the temperatures are reaching 100+ which is unbearable. I bought a box fan and pointed it right at myself but it really doesn't cool much. I'd like to buy a fan that has amazing cooling ability while preferably not sounding like a jet engine. Can anyone recommend something like this?

vornados push air pretty darn good and are pretty quiet. This is the one I have and use to move air from the where the air conditioner is to the rest of the house.
