ocing my 3700 sandy ,, - Page 2

It all depends on the stepping. Mine was stable just a tad past 2.75 GHz with 1.35 vcore. I managed to get it 3.0 GHz stable, but it took 1.61 vcore to do so. I can send you a list of settings I used, but I doubt yours will be the same. I see no problem getting yours up to 2.8, what's your max vcore your mobo will provide - 1.5V?? If so, that'll be tight but quite possible.

Do you know your stepping? There is a 3700 OC Database on this forum somewhere.....maybe you can compare.

1.5 is the limit with this mobo .
i dont know the stepping . it was only about a month ago that i installed the 9500 cooler , i should have wrote it down then , but i didnt know about that stuff at the time .
still learning .
if i can get it stable at 2.7 , i will be quiet satasfied .
i know i wont break no ocing records here for sure .
do you think 2.7 as compared to 2.5 will make a big difference in gaming?
im new to this .
maybe i should leave well enough alone? whats your opinion?
