Concerned with potential CPU bottlenecking of a GTX 770

Hey guys,

I currently have the following system:

i5-2310 @ 2.9 GHz
8GB DDR3 1333
6950 1GB

I was thinking of upgrading the graphics card to a 770 since quite frankly ever since purchasing this Radeon card the drivers and horribly laid out CCC have annoyed me to death.

Anyway, would the CPU be so weak as to actually prevent the 770 from utilizing all of its computing power? This had been happening to me before, as I got the 6950 back when I had an old athlon II X4 and upgraded to sandy bridge after that. I noticed the card reaching full computing load more easily in games than with the athlon.

I'd like better performance in games but I'm not sure if I'd have to do a complete CPU/Mobo/GPU overhaul to do so. I'd prefer to just replace the GPU.

Thanks.

The i5-2310 is a quad-core btw if you aren't familiar with the model name
