Well idk what to say about that , guess it doesn't matter because i'm staying with my voltage and 43, so say what you will. So idk why your trying to state other wise what my comfort level is, I already said im past that. Originally I tried changing my memory down to 1333 at lowest settings stayed 100 -300 with cache ratio. I tried raising Vrin to 2.0 and vring to 1.3, i also changed my phase optimized to performance, and I used 1.65 volts for memory, used + 10 on digital and analog. Tried 1.25 volts and stepped up from 40x. Hope that awnser your question about what I tried, I tried everything that was listed originally from altar
So you obviously don't know how to OC haswell since you only did multi and vcore.
Try first setting low mem settings. 1333 preferably.
then uncore/cache ratio of 40 or so
analog and digi IO at auto
and then try 1.2-1.25v vcore and start at 40x.
the input voltage to the FIVR is just as important as vcore and vring is also really good at stabilizing clocks.
I already stated I tried this several times and got bsods, MY CHIP IS ON THE LOWER END FOLKS. SORRY TO DISSAPPOINT AND YES IT UPSETS ME, but 43 is where my chip grounds out. I could punch in 1.4 VOLTS BUT I DO NOT WANT TO GO PAST 1.25, ive already tried all of your suggestion and different ram kits different settings that were suggested. I got my hands on another 4770k that did 4.6 at 1.2 stable, i will be keeping this chip, my one I was complaining about was jsut a lower end silicon lottery, SO STOP SAYING I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO OVERCLOCK. Different people have different comfort levels when it comes to temps, IM HAPPY WITH 43. I ended up returning it anyway and got a better chip. Vring 1.15 VCCIO 1.2 1600 mhz ram 99924 2t 4.6 1.22 volts temps hit about 88 on h100i, idk why you expect miracles when I do not own a custom water loop, so stop this thread and just freaking close it unless you have more suggestion for me to try. This thread started out as a rant but i was trying to turn it around into something constructive to help others. So far very few have actually given great advice Altar despite saying IDK how to over clock at least tried to give me some suggestion which I tried So thank you for that, just wasn't successful.
