ZOWIE EC1 eVo White LED Bleeding

Thread Starter
So I just got a Zowie EC1 eVo white. As far as performance and ergonomics really happy with the mouse. However there is one issue I noticed when trying to play without lights in the room.
The led of the mouse bleeds all over the chassis.

That's the one con about the Zowie mice...inability to turn off the LED in the mousewheel.

Mine is the same, looks quite cheap imo. EC2 eVo (black) on the other hand, bleeds through the hole where the wheel is located and shines on my screen/wall rolleyes.gif

Here's my EC1:

All mice can do this. The only way around it is to use thicker (heavier) plastic and to use a cover (more money to produce) for the LED.

Don't like it, buy a black mouse that will absorb the light more or get one with no LEDs at all. If you don't mind messing with your mouse, do what I do, cover the LED.

By no means does this speak of low quality. Rather lack of attention to detail -- if anything.

I actually sell those in my store and on the back of the box, it advertises as changing colours depending on the dpi you choose, but the box shows the mouse as glowing all over
