Z87 Mpower Max - Killer e2200 NIC speed problem.

Thread Starter
Hi guys,

So I've had my new computer setup (see spec below) for a week or so. I'm having problems with the internet speed and streaming videos to my Xbox 360. The movies take few a minutes to load then play for 5 seconds or so then start loading again. I've never had any trouble with the internet or router before my new build so it's not that. I tried the drivers for the killer e2200 that came with the motherboard and had slow internet speeds. I've also tried both Beta version 1.0.19.1097 and version 6.1.0.395 to no avail. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Oh, and I think the Killer NIC drivers hindering the wifi speed also. Wifi is slow but bearable.

Thank You

I also posted this on the MSI forum.

I noticed this was unsolved, so for the OP or anyone else experiencing slow internet with the Killer network card here is the fix.

Open Network & Sharing Center, click Change Adapter Settings, right click and select Properties on your adaptor and the Configure button...in the Advanced tab you should see a Throughput section which will allow you to select various options...If Auto Enhancement is selected change the to the 100mb Full Duplex option.

This fixed a problem I had with my Killer E2200 card.

With Auto Enhancement your download speed will be horrendous, was 56kbps with auto...when I changed to Full Duplex my download speed was back to the 60mb my ISP supplies me with.
