scratched paint

Well i cut my window today, but i have a little problem....i cut from the backside so if the saw gouged through the tape you wouldn't see it.i had out face down on a towel, but during the sawing some of the metal shavings got between the side and the towel and scratched. It's not through the paint, just little silver colored marks. Is there any way to get rid of them other than sanding and spraying with some flat white? Sorry for the cell pic quality...

Very fine brush, float some white model paint into the scratches. Next time cover surfaces that might be subject to wear with masking tape. Cheap insurance. If it were me though, I'd just buff up the panel with a scotch brite pad, give it an alcohol wipe down, and shoot some more white on it.

I did paint....alas with second question. I scuffed and painted flat white, but it doesn't match the rest of the case. Is there going to be a "white" that matches the case, a very bright white, I'm a rattle can? Or am i going to have to spray the rest of the case?

its very easy to remove this silver thing just to your local store walmart and get Brasso Multi Purpose Metal with cotton give it some drops and watch the magic. ( it only works if the silver is on the surface ) not deep scratch. and BOM.. new side panel smile.gif

Matching white with existing white is pretty much next to impossible. You'll even find that the same brand of paint, from batch to batch the white can be different. Best result will be to shoot the entire case. Or... say "screw it" and cover the panel with white DiNoc carbon fiber.
