TMPIN2 & TMPIN4 Insanely hot temperatures?What gives?

Whats up guys,I was in AMD Overdrive a couple minutes ago, When i checked the board status,Everything in my computer seems to be running at decent temps.
For some reason TMPIN2 & TMPIN4 are running at such high temperatures that i think whatever that was would melt confusedsmiley.png
So is this a faulty sensor? Glitch? I run a ton of fans in my system, My GPU & CPU are running cool,So i don't get whats going on.

I just put in a new PSU today,Cleaned my case,It's pretty much dust free,Except a little on the fans,I cleaned them as best i could. Here is a screen shot of the high temps on the TMPIN sensors,I will also post a coretemp and cpu-z screen,Precision X screen,And inside my rig.Note there is a 140mm fan in the front and top of the case which is not pictured,And a 120mm case fan on the side panel.

I just felt the northbridge healsinc on the motherboard,At least i think thats what it was,It was pretty warm to the touch but not like i couldn't hold my finger there,Southbridge heatsinc is burried under the GPU.So i'm assuming these temps have to be bogus?Maybe a sensor glitch.

I just went into bios,To see if there is any temperature reading in there besides the basics,None could be found,Except i noticed on my 5v and 12v it's slightly over volted. I don't know if thats a problem.

You are probably getting sensor errors. I would think a much bigger issue for you to review, however, would be your choice of motherboard. 870A-G54s are pretty much the most VRM failure-prone boards on the market, and the MOSFETs are known to catch fire/explode/fry/etc with stock Phenom II quad cores. You might want to consider a motherboard replacement soon. On top of improved safety, it'd ease your temperature sensor worries.

You can learn more about VRMs/MOSFETs/their importance in motherboard choice in the link in my sig. In that article, if you expand the section "VRM Failure database" and click on the link, you will find a record listing several MSI 870 board incidents.

Thank you for the input, That's pretty scary info about my series motherboard. Basically,When i built this rig i had a nice chunk of cash come my way,My previous rig was outdated and i took a trip to Fry's Electronics,A big brick & mortar electronics store. I have built all 3 of my rig's from parts there. I basically didn't put much thought into the build at all,Talked to a salesman,Bought the processor on sale,And i told them I need memory and a motherboard that he recommended that wasn't overly expensive rolleyes.gif Next time i build a rig,I'm going to methodically pick every single component out,Study and read all reviews about every part i need,So that way i know i'm getting quality parts.
