Hi Brian,

We don't have any ASUS boards but could send an ASRock or Gigabyte. We can also send out the cooler.

Thanks,
The AMD Social Media Team

I requested Gigabyte as I have had very bad experience with ASRock in my past. Thanks again everyone. and I look forward to seeing all the builds and reviews. Is anybody else doing a video review?
I requested for them to send me a replacement F2A85X-UP4 as well, the MSI board they sent is a joke for overclocking. I would recommend asking them for this particular board, as it has a 8 phase VRM and supports memory up to 2400 (not sure if AMD's 1866 modules will overclock that high, but worth a shot). It's the best board that they offer from their partners, hopefully they have enough for us two in stock. biggrin.gif

I will be doing a video review and unboxing for all parts. As for requesting another motherboard, what do they say to do with your MSI Board?
They have not said what to do with the MSI paper weight I have. so disappointed I wanted to have this thing build and benchmarking already.

We're not talking about the board you have, you actually have a better MSI board than what we received. Unless you're going to be trying to overclock your unit beyond 5.0 GHz, you shouldn't need a replacement. The one you got has at least a 4+2 phase VRM, so it will overclock fairly well. The micro atx MSI boards some of us got only pack a 3+2 phase VRM. So overclocking the APU's to their limits will be fairly hard for us enthusiasts.

You are mistaken , FM2-A85XA-G65 is 6+2 power phase and will keep pace with any fm2 board out there. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AgN1D79Joo7tdE45bVdlZWVXN0VoSndNTnhpcDFTUEE&chrome=false&gid=4

My bad, I had the A85XMA-E35 in my head at the time (which is 3+2 phase).

Darn confusing at times , isn't it? And no, i wouldn't recommend the e35 for any overclocking shenanigans....lol

I think they are going to send me the gigabyte board. I am so jealous of you all who have gotten to turn on your system.
