What is the best option to run three 1440p monitors? - Page 2

3gb VRAM should be fine as long as you don't use no AA. But not sure what will happen when the new games comes out tho. Since consoles will have more VRAM now

3 7950s would work, but scaling wouldn't work well in alot of games (bringing it closer to 2 7950s). The crossfire microstutter driver fix from AMD would make thing feel fluid, but it isn't out yet.

2 OC'd 780s would be best, but that's a whole lot of money.

With AA would two 780's still be able to handle the resolution? Would a single Titan be better in that situation--could pick up a second one when I get paid next.

This is why I am poor

2 780s would certainly be better than a single titan, the step up to dual titans probably isn't worth the money (That $900 could go towards, say, GTX 880s in SLI at some point, or you could just buy some HE-400s and a killer amp). At that resolution, anything more than 2x MSAA is just overkill IMHO, and I think they can handle it.

^ but you forget this, moose! although my position would be exactly the same.

to put it a bit differently, if you want complete overkill, could the extra money saved from 2 780s instead of 2 titans be used to upgrade other components in your rig to make them equally overkill?
