Problem with Start up

Thread Starter
Hello there, so my problem today is with starting the system. I got this build together couple of days ago and everything worked fine until now. This morning i played a match of dota 2 and installed windows updates (this install is couple days old so technically new). I went to work and about 9 hours later thought im gonna play some more, start button does nothing, start button on mobo does nothing, reset button does nothing. Only way to start is with clear cmos button and plugging power off and back on again.

When the computer actually starts up it's only for few seconds, fans spin, mobo does some loading and then computer shuts off, no POST.

Things i've tried:

Use different power cord, nothing
tried both ram sticks separetly in different slots, nothing
took GPU out and tried starting with integrated GPU, nothing
tried ssd and hdd, nothing
and finally i took the whole damn mobo out of the case and tried booting with only ssd, cpu and one stick of ram, nothing, switched ssd to hdd, nothing. After that i took battery out for a good 5-10mins and still nothing.

I'm going to try with a different PSU today as soon as i can borrow it from a friend. I was wondering if any of you had similiar problems with the same/partially same rig, if you do come up with something help would be very welcome. Customer service for the place i bought mobo and PSU from opens again sunday so i will call them if i came up with the faulty part, it can't be anything but mobo, PSU or CPU, right?

My rig is:
Silverstone 850W, ST85F-P Strider, modular
AsRock Z77 Extreme4, Z77
Intel i5-3570K
XFX 7950 Dual Fan TDFC
G.Skill 8GB (2x4GB) Sniper, DDR3 1600MHz
Samsung 840 Pro 128GB SATA3

Thanks in advance

Edit.
Tested with different PSU and RAM, still nothing, tried without battery and nothing, running out of options. Friend of mine said the most likely problem is with how the mobo handles power and can't load becouse of that and that CPU problem is very unlikely. Going to wait until sunday and phone the customer service about what they think about this and how they would like to handle the issue. Help is still very welcome if you guys come up with any suggestion or if anyone had this same problem and how they solved it.

Thanks in advance

Given everything you have done there is only one thing left to try, and that would be reseating the CPU. If that doesn't fix the problem, then I'd lean towards the motherboard being the problem.

Oh and just in case, check ALL of your wires. Make sure all the connections are solid and that no wires got nicked and are shorting on the case. Its happened before, it can always happen again.

i took mobo out of the case already just to make sure it's not shorting and but it didn't help, i've checked cables many times and tried different PSU so wires shouldn't be the problem, all i had installed was 24pin and 8pin 12v wires.

Guess what, already tried cpu reseat aswell biggrin.gif and it didn't help. Thanks for answering, think im just going to wait till tomorrow and call customer support.
