Hyper evo 212 vs hyper 412s

Thread Starter
Hi, I'd like to buy a budged air cooler for my new build which is the following:

FX-8350
M5A99X rev 2.0
HD 7770
Kingston DDR3-1600 2x4GB
WD Green 1TB - 6gbs
Corsair CX750W
CoolerMaster Elite 431

Here's the thing in amazon there's a deal so the 412s is a bit cheaper than 212evo. I have read a lot of good reviews about the 212 evo. Can you give me some hint, which one should I take?
So far I'm not planning to OC the cpu hard, maybe just a little. The build is for gaming.
Thanks

I say go for the 212. The 412 is a slim cooler, so logically, it shouldn't perform as well as the 212. The Evo is still cheap as it is, and it's a great value cooler.

Have you bought those parts yet? If you haven't you could do a lot better for a gaming build. The GPU is way to weak but you can get a much lower wattage PSU (a quality 600/650W is MORE than you need), an FX6300 and a 970 chipset board. The saved cash could get you a 7850 which would game at much much better settings than what you have listed.

Anyway to answer your question I would get the 212

I bought it already, maybe had to post while building it anyway, in the future maybe I'll get some other gpu for crossfire. As for the PSU i read that it power decrease with the time so its better to take higher watts.

Thanks for the replies anyway, in that case I think I'd go with the hyper 212evo.

Ok just checked again the difference is about 15 euros (higher that I assumed before) which means the 412s is 25euros and the 212evo is 40. What about now ??
I did some poking around for temperatures of each cooler, and it seems like the two of them are fairly similar, performance-wise. So I say go with the 412.

Get Hyper 212 EVO + another fan for push-pull setup.
Hyper 412 is more or less a hyper 212evo plus another xtraflo stock fan.
