Crossover Black Tune 2735AMG/2755AMG/2763AMG & ACHIEVA Shimian QH2700 Lite Edge-CLUB - Page 3

I just received this monitor less htan 1 hour ago and 2 days earlier than expected. I ordered this on june 13 an received june 17. this delivery speed is amazingly fast. Excellent sellers on ebay. Upon opening the package the weight of hte monitor caught me completely off guard. this thing is heavy. Additionally, I feel the glass base is very fragile and may replace the base in the far future. However, this thing is exactly what it suggest, quality. the ownly down side are its fragile base and weight. everything else is exactly what it advertises to be.

Hey does the calibration make the image look any better, is it worth buying a calibrator?
Calibration makes it look different, I wouldnt say better. Once your eyes get used to it there is not much difference. I will private message you my icc file if you want to try it. (I'm not sure what forum rules are for putting upload site links.)

Without the calibration the monitor looks more yellow to me, after it is more balanced. Again, I'm not sure if it will work for your monitor. Also the spyder 4 is probably not the best calibration tool out there, so don't be so worried about spending more money on it.

About the blue blemish on my screen, it is definitely there but is only noticable on a grey background and sometimes when reading text on a white background. Its not that bad - very very faint, but being a perfectionist I do notice these things. rolleyes.gif

The light bleed is only 3 little spots, not spotlight bad as described before but like little bits coming in from 3 different places - overall the screen is usable unlike the bad Dell I had few week ago.

Ok, I changed the Device Profile to the file you sent (Crossover Crossover Black Tune-1).
Is there anything else that I am supposed to do? What about the Viewing Conditions Profile? This is my first time doing this.

I think you leave everything else at default. The spyder does all that stuff on my machine so I'm not really sure.

For those of you who might want to try this color profile here is my quick tutorial(I'm running Windows 7 64bit):
What I did was Right Click on Desktop >Screen Resolution>Advanced Settings>Color Management>Select Color Management Again>All Profiles
In this window it shows the ICC Profiles you can then selected Add... at the bottom of the screen and open the color profile that was provided to me by mvpe (Big Thanks) the downloaded file uses a 3rd party download software called Tiny Download Manager. (http://speedy.sh/2Zr4Y/Crossover-Crossover-Black-Tune-1.icm)
After the Color Profile is added, select the Advanced Tab on the top of the page> Select Device Profile> Select Crossover Crossover Black Tune-1

Well did it provide much visual difference from your original stock color profile ? I would assume this provided profile would work on the Acheiva Lite Edge & the Monoprice for folks also.

Like mvpe said it looks less yellow, and too me its a little brighter. you have to restart the computer after you set the new profile for it to register I think.

Thats good to hear & Thanks to mvpe for his shared contribution. If i have to return the U2713HM and get the Monoprice i will certainly test this color profile out.
