I thought I'd chime in since I have been reading comments. I purchased this monitor (2735 AMG). My thoughts are....
It's beautiful, the screen and glass are amazing. Looks like extremely high quality. This is the reason I got it, so I would pay ~400 for a ~1000 display. I understood the complaints about light bleeding, dead pixels and still took the risk.
Weight/Size - This is super light and extremely thin, it's frankly amazing. Usually off-brands have large bulky plastic casings, but this is not bad.
Dead Pixels - I have not found any, if mine does have them, I can't see them!
Light bleeding - mine has very minor light bleeding on 3 of the edges and I would say minor to mid bleeding on the lower right. This can only be seen when I have a black background on the monitor. When I open up any applications, I can't see it at all. Even on a black background I would say I'm not bothered by it, but if I was looking for it, I do see it. Since I changed my desktop wallpaper, I haven't noticed it all (my original wallpaper wasn't large enough to cover the screen, so the outer borders were black and that's when I noticed it.
Blue spots - I also have 2 very feint blue spots off center left/right on the monitor. Again, I didn't even notice them until I started moving a white box (empty notepad) around the screen. I could see in 2 areas a very feint blue spot. Again, if you're using it, you really don't see it. Even with an application that has a lot of white on it, I really don't even notice it. Only when I move it around and watch it, do I then notice it.
Base - Base wasn't great, but it's ok. I wouldn't even say a con really, it's just so-so, but who cares, I bought the display for the display.
For laptop users...
Keep in mind, I have an alienware laptop M17xR3. I did have to purchase a mini-displayport to Dual Link DVI adapator (about 100 bucks). Otherwise, I didn't get anything on the screen. The mini-display port to DVI adapter (the ones for 20 bucks) don't work with this.
I am very satisfied. I knew I was getting a high class display that was not perfect and for under half the price. I expected the issues I have and am fine with them. When I need a new monitor, I will again order a Korean model unless I have a lot of disposable income
Hope this helps someone.
