Hahaha.. that's just an insane couple of GPUs in a box... no CPU

I am gunna stick with a regular box... just one case, with everything in it ... and possibly somewhat affordable for the average guy who makes more than $100k per year.

Basically I'm not going to bother finding links for everything but a 4x4 build with 8800GTX's and Intel Qx6800's on it. Massive water cooling to OC it hard.

A 4x4 with QX6800's. How? LOL

I'm thinking:

Striker, QX6800's, most expensive dominators, etc.

Forget Dominators. G.Skill DDR2 1066 HZ man! Timings or 4-4-4-5
  • CPU: XQ 6700
  • MoBo: Asus Striker Extreme
  • RAM: Update G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) 4-4-4-5
  • Video: 2x eVGA 768-P2-N831-AR GeForce 8800GTX 768MB GDDR3
  • PhysX: ASUS 90-C1CHFA-HUAY1 PhysX Processing Unit
  • Sound: Creative SOUND BLASTER X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS 7.1 Channels
  • iRAM: GIGABYTE GC-RAMDISK PCI + 4x CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB DDR 400
  • HDD: 4x Western Digital Raptor X WD1500AHFD
  • Blu-Ray: LITE-ON 2X Blu-ray Disc Triple DVD Burner Black SATA
  • DVD: LITE-ON 16X DVD±R DVD Burner Black SATA
  • Case: Thermaltake MozartTx VE1000SWA Silver Aluminum Cube
  • PSU: PC Power & Cooler 1KW (single rail)
  • Keyboard: Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard
  • Mouse: Logitech MX Revolution
  • Monitor: Apple Cinema 32"
  • Speakers: Creative GigaWorks S750 700 Watts 7.1
  • Cooling: Phase for CPU, waterblocks for the 8800's, high-end water loop.

Now, the problem is that I have three PCI cards included, and likely only two available PCI slots (bottom one will likely be blocked by the bottom 8800). There is (was?) supposed to be a version II of the iRAM which resides in a 5.25 inch bay, and uses DDR2, but I could not find it. Thus, ditch the iRAM if it all does not fit.

Nice setup, but why go for the PhysX card, Blue Ray, or the Fatal1ty?

The Physx doesn't make any signifigant difference in gameplay in current games, maybe Crysis will support it.

HDDVD looks like it'll take the HD market over Blue Ray, but it's too soon to tell.

And Fatal1ty?! It's just overhyped and overpriced! You should have gone for the Platinum X-Fi imo.

Edit: Just noticed you're running a Platinum X-Fi in your current sys. Why the Fatal1ty?
