The executable is called "SensorDetector.exe" and it's probably related to EasyTune which I am using for fan control. Although EasyTune itself is not running. I think the new version I am using only sets the fan speeds at Windows start and terminates (the old version didn't apply the fan settings).

Yes, according to the DPC Latency Checker tool, my values seem to be pretty good. Maybe also because the board doesn't have much extra stuff. I also keep the running Windows services to a minimum.

I got rid of ET ... It was messing up my latency MASSIVELY and the fan control is only 2 point, i use SpeedFan now

I don't get over 55 peak dpc latency when i turn off all the power saving functions in Bios on Gigabyte z87x UD3H.Most of the time is 40-44.

Thread Starter
Thank you for the update, that looks much better. Hopefully DPC latency will drop down to IVY levels with more mature bios.

I just re-ran the DPC Latency numbers on the UD3H as I have it on my testbed as part of my Gaming CPU testing.

Using BIOS F5: It averaged around 90 microseconds, but for the purposes of my graph I report the peak. The peak in this case was 164. No difference with or without App Center loaded.

This means all Haswell boards seem to be 150+ right now.

seems about right

DPC latency - explain more and its affects - i know it can affect audio

But is latency something that has been around for years and in a sense the norm ? redface.gif
post #28 of 28
yea but people enjoy complaining, also it can affect video.

here look at wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deferred_Procedure_Call
