System upgrade advice. (Specifically Graphics Card)

So in my rig I have a 660ti and I want to get a 780 for more performance at higher resolutions as I plan on getting a new monitor at 1440p. It sounds like a good idea to me but I want to make sure there isn't anything I should know. Also which 780 should I get? biggrin.gif Also I am upgrading my case to the Haf X but is there any other case I should know about? I have decided on the power supply as a SeaSonic Platinum-1000 as my upgrade choice. Does this sound good?

Any GTX 780 are good. I tried the Zotac GTX 780 reference cooler one and it is pretty good. I also heard that the EVGA ACX cooler one is also very good and very silent.

If you have the money I think you should upgrade. A single GTX 660ti will get around 35 - 37 fps in Valley and two GTX 660ti in SLI will get you around 70 - 72 fps.

With a GTX 780, you can easily get 70-75 fps.

Good thing money isn't too big of an issue Im spliting 50/50 on all upgrades with my dad as he uses it too. I might go for the EVGA or the Asus Direct CU II one I've heard so much about. Plus I plan on overclocking it and I heard it overclocks well.

I went with the reference cooler because I didn't want to wait. It stays cool enough with a decently quiet fan. If you get a reference card, they are all the same so just get whichever brand youprefer. I you are interested in a 3rd party cooler you might wait a few more weeks because the only one that I know of now is the ACX from evga, but it's not a binned chip. Most manufacturers will release OC models with binned chips that can reach higher clocks.

Haha talking about it makes me kinda wish I would have waited mad.gif
