Learning programming with C#?

Thread Starter
What's the best resource for learning programming using C#. That is to say, rather than a reference tutorial/book about C# I mean a tutorial/book/etc that goes over the most basic principles of programming as well as theory and design and such. I've only briefly skimmed through some stuff like Visual C# Step-by-step and Head First but they seem to jump straight into coding. So any recommendations?

So you're looking for an introduction to programming instead of C#?

I don't know if there are any resources out there that teaching programming through c#. Most people who start programming learn with java, python, or sometimes c++ since its what schools teacher and is platform agnostic (usually). Is there a reason you want to learn c#?

also, you can check this list out
http://www.overclock.net/t/1270646/in-progress-consolidated-programming-language-learning-resources-list
it has links to all sorts of resources for programming languages.
