Glad to hear it was resolved for ya!
I renamed the installer file with a redundant .exe. So it was sims3installer.exe.exe (retarded) also made sure that the installation path was where orgin had downloaded it. .../orgin/sim 3. I originally let it install to its default path which was /electronic arts/sims 3 and it wouldn't run. Ran it as admin.
Also I didn't use the "install" button in origin I ran the file itself. After that all the expansions installed with zero issue right from origin.
I'm going to have to do this allllll over again once her haswell envy shows up (I am in fact jelly bro) thing stomps my i7-720m G73. Couldn't get her to spurge for the optional 740m or the 1080p screen. But maybe I was trying to build it for myself and not her lol
I might make a thread on a how to once I do it again. Was a royal pain in the ass and I'd rather have someone else avoid the trouble and there wife/gf/female endlessly suggesting just to call ea for help.... If they only could understand how much help "tech support" really is.Edited by wutang61 - 6/15/13 at 11:34pm
