Is my PSU enough for GTX 770 SLI?

Thread Starter
Current Build is as follows...
CPU: i7 4770K OCed to 4.2GHz
CPU Cooler: Corsair H110
GPU: GTX 770 OCed 1319MHz/4001MHz
Motherboard: ASUS Z87-PLUS
HDD: 1.5TB WD Green (SATA II)
RAM: x1 8GB 1600MHz Corsair Vengeance
Fans: x4 140mm, x2 120mm

I'm wondering of course if I can add another GTX 770 to the mix without upgrading PSUs. I'm willing to drop the GPU overclocks for SLI, but would prefer to keep CPU overclock.

The Cosair GS700 is enough even with two GTX 770 cards

But Cosair GS is not really a high end PSU its very average almost as average as you can get

Note i said average not crap or bad

I see. Would I need to drop my GPU overclocking to be able to run two 770's or would it be fine to overclock them as well?

I kind of figured that most companies just bought power supplies and put their brand names on them. Sounds like a conspiracy theory to me, but apparently it does happen!

Thats just what they do take Cosair they have 4 OEM´s they buy from OCZ has 6

Buying a PSU based on brand is like buying a car based on color unless you look into it and do some research you dont know what you end up with most of the time

This is pretty much the best tool to do research with as everything is in there even reviews
