Low Ampage, Low Noise, High CFM 120mm fans (blue is a bonus)

post #1 of 2
Thread Starter
Ok,

I'm looking at getting 5 Aerocool shark 120mm fans for £25 as I only have a 120mm stock intake fan and the blademaster fan on my Hyper 212 Evo, but have noticed that each fan on 12v take 0.30a (3.6w).

Rated Voltage 12V (To FAN)7V
Starting Voltage <=9.0V <=7.0V
Power Consumption 3.6W 1.56W
Rated Current 0.30A 0.13A
Speed 1500 RPM+-10% 800 RPM+-10%
Air Flow 82.6 CMF 32.5 CMF
Noise 26.5dBA 12.6dBA

From what I've read on reviews, these fans are pretty decent and the fact I can get 5 basically for half price seems like a great deal.

Is there anything better though?

I am looking at a few Fan Controllers (Bitfenix Recon, Lamptron FC6, Scythe kaze master pro ace) but I also have 3 Fan headers on my motherboard (all 4pin) which I could use PWM splitters for.

Thanks

*Fail on my part I think I could've carried this on to my original thread on Fan Controllers, seeing as this is fan specific hopefully its ok smile.gif

I used to have some of the white LED Aerocool Shark fans and they are pretty loud for 1500 rpm. They aren't too bad in open air but the minute they get near a restriction or fan grill the noise goes way up.
