HD 7950 Vapor-X voltage issues

I'm re-overclocking my hd 7950 but there seems to be a bit of a problem. The voltage seems to be locked on the card, only going up to 1.09 volts, is there any sort of fix or bios update to solve this? I'm using msi afterburner to overclock.

Hello,

I suggest you check this thread:

Ati Hd 7950/7970 bios mod thread
http://www.overclock.net/t/1395490/ati-hd-7950-7970-bios-mod-thread

in that thread you can find the Radeon HD 7000 BIOS Editor v0.42

That tools allows you to manually edit the load voltage on your HD7950/HD7970, just flash the modified bios on your card, and you have the voltage you set in the tool.

I tested it myself on my hd7970 reference and it is working perfectly

Switch to the second BIOS (with the button on top of the card). One of the two is unlocked. Use Trixx to overclock.

both of the bios are locked glina, anyways, it doesn't matter because the cooler barely handles stock voltage with 20% extra power.

What's your max oc at 1.09V ?
Mine also has 1.087V stock and it will do 1100mhz with this voltage.

Daily I run 1000MHz @ 1.012V.

I run 1050 at 1.088 daily for core and a mere 1325 for memory. I'm going to upgrade to the 9xxx series when they come out probably.
