I'm going to go with all three of those exhausting first off and just see. House is not unusually dusty or anything so shouldn't really be a problem.

Gah I need stuff to get here already!! lol

I was thinking about getting rid of the HDD and SSD cages to clear up space in my cage and make it more open. I was going to mount my SSD in the back and get a 3.5 to 5.25 bay adapter to stick my HDD in one of the optical bays.
  1. What is a good cheap mount for the HDD in the optical bay? Preferably it would be black. Also tooless sliding bays would be cool but not needed XD
  2. Whats the best way to mount an SSD behind the back-plate of the case? Anyone have pictures of their mounted SSDs? Should I just stick it in the back? Velcro? Buy a special mount?

I used random 5.25 to 3.5 adapters from amazon were like $3 each, they came silver so I painted them black but you cannot see them either. I'll take more pictures when I get home but my SSD's are on the back-plate with velcro

Cool! I was also partially wondering if I should move my H100i from the top to the front like you have it. I am not completely sure at this moment but I guess I'll decide after I've tucked my drives away.

Also, are you supposed to mount the drives backwards like you did or was that just your choice to hide the sata and sata power?
Scythe make some cheap 5.25 to 3.5 adapters. I picked mine up from Deals Xtreme (DX.com). Don't buy them from there unless you want to wait 1 month for delivery, but its worth checking the website to see what I'm talking about.
Mounting them backwards is genius lol! I was looking for a way to better hide my sata cables smile.gif
post #1777 of 5051
I did a little research. What about something like this.

It claims you can store a 2.5 AND 3.5 inch drive on the bracket in 1 5.25 bay BUT it says that it is recommended only 1 drive is used at a time due to heat issues... Anyone think its a bad idea heat wise to put an SSD AND a 3.5 inch HDD on the same bracket that close to each other?
Pfft heat issues. It's going to fair no worse than a regular set of adapters haha

It was either (a)see the drive + cables or (b)see just the drive, so I went with B.
If you put the drives in the 5.25 bays the h100i will not fit so you are pretty much forced to have it in the front but push/pull intake with full dust filter is pure win biggrin.gif

OK Reading around is my PSU a little too budget for something like a 780 Ti? I got it for a nice deal but little worried about getting a PSU for 60 after MIR with plans to hook it up to a potentially 700 dollar GPU....

I have had lots of great luck with Corsair PSU's but they where always AX\HX series units.
