1st time post... You can order the 350D complete set from either FrozenCPU or Performance-PCS here in the US. I just ordered a set Thursday from Performance-PCS. They were $39 + shipping for all 5 pieces.

I am currently building my 350D. Just waiting for my memory to come tomorrow to complete it. Current specs are:

Case - Corsair 350D w/ Window
Mobo - Asus Maximus Gene VI
CPU - Intel i7 4770K
GPU - EVGA GTX 780Ti SuperClock with ACX
PS - Corsair AX760i
Memory - Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB - 1866MHz - Red
SSD - Sandisk Extreme II 240GB
HD - Toshiba 3TB 7200RPM 64MB Cache
Case Lighting - Corsair Link Lighting
CPU Cooler - NZXT Kraken X60 w/ BitFenix Spectra Pro fans mounted in top pushing out
Front Intake - (2) Corsair AF140's
Rear Exhaust - Corsair SP120

This is phase 1, as I have already ordered a NZXT Kraken G10 cooler for my video card. Just have to decide if I want to cut a hole in the bottom of the case floor and install a Kraken X40 for the graphics card or if I want to run a Corsair H75 with 2 SP120's at the top rear. Thought about just mounting the Kraken X40 at the lowest position on the front but not sure I want to blow the hot air in... Thoughts?

Will get some pictures when I get everything buttoned up.

Really wish Corsair would make the AF140's in a SP140 version, as I'm not to sure about these Spectra Pro fans. There's not much out there in the land of high pressure 140mm fans for sure, and Corsair doesn't even offer there version of the 140's they use in the H90 and H110 on there site.

You guys have some really nice looking rigs! thumb.gif

If this rig is for gaming, 16gb RAM and i7 is overkill. You could use that money for something else. By the way you will have to overclock your CPU in order to take advantage of your 1866mhz RAM. Go with Western Digital. I've never heard good things about Toshiba hard drives. SP's are unnecessary for the rear as there is plenty of room for airflow.

hey guys do know if a 45mm thick 240mm rad will fit on the front and top of the 350d? i'm planning to do a custom loop
post #2504 of 5051
Would I have enough cool air intake in a 350D with 2 NF-F12 front intake fans for an overclocked 4770k w/ NH-D14 and a 780Ti Classified? Haswell (as we all know) runs HOT, and the classy is going to be dumping a lot of heat in the case.

I know the Obsidian series isn't targeted at air cooling but I was wondering if it would be possible with the right fans- the case looks soooo nice.

a 45 will probably fit on the front, as for a 45 on the top, i am doubting it, with my 25mm rad and fan I am just above the mobo.

It's doable, but you're going to have to crank those 780 fans any time you put a load on 'er.

Ok thanks, so I'm better off sticking with my 690 II?

Ok guys, I will be doing an upgrade this week , changing the PSU and will move my H100i to the front with push/pull. Here are several concernsI have.
1. Do I need any special longer screws and how is it mounted ?
A. Pull fans screwed into the radiator ,radiator screwed in case holes and push fans screwed in separate case holes
B. Rad and the push fans screwed with same screws/
Sounds stupid but I don't wanna run into incompability issues when installing.

2. I bought 2 AF fans for the front but cables are very short so they still sit new in boxes. When I mount H100i in front I will have 4 fans with short cables that will need extensions to connect to Link.
Can I use something like Akasa 4pinPWM => 5 x 4pinPWM FAN FLEXA FP5S AK-CBFA07-45 or GELID PWM 1 to 4 Splitter CA-PWM-03 or couple of those GELID PWM-Y Cable adapter CA-PWM-01 to connect them to Link and be able to control RPM's ? Or it's better to go with 4 Nanoxia 4pin extensions? I guess with 4 different extensions I will be able to control every fan.
post #2509 of 5051
Interesting, though havn't tried that with the H100i although all PWM fan extensions should basically be the same so there should be no compatibility issues I had to use 2 extensions because I run a positive air pressure case, and 2 fans are literally on top of my case and I run the cables through the back side watercooling port holes..at some point when I think its good enough I will post photos, but like you I'm still swapping out components and I need to build a shroud of sorts that matches the taste of the case, but on a GPU note I am in a similar pickle I wanted to use 2 of the AIO GPU coolers on the market and mount the rads on the front of the case I am not sure but with the 100i you may need modification to attach it. The smaller 120's you can turn on the side and they attach easily.

Finally got the pics off my camera, canz I join the club?

* Corsair 350D
* Corsair Vengeance Pro 2400MHz
* Corsair AX860
* Corsair H100i
* Corsair SP120
* Corsair AF120
* Corsair AF140
* Asus Maximus Gene VI
* Intel i4770K
* Nvidia GTX770
* Samsung 840 256GB

I managed a stable overclock up to 4.5GHz with a 1.275 vcore, anytime I tried to push it 4.6 or more the temperatures really started getting too high for me to be comfortable with it for a daily usage machine. I may go and attempt a delid as 4.6 was around 1.32 vcore, 4.8GHz I suspect would be just below 1.4 or more. But for the extra 100-200Mhz I don't think its worth it for me. I use this machine for gaming, photo editing, work, watching videos and recording music.

Plans for the future:

* sleeving the cables (red and black duh)
* adding a second GPU (once the GTX770 come down in price)
* cosmetic changes to the GPU (paint black and modify green light)
* custom cooling or maybe front loading the H100i
* some LED lighting
* installing the optical drive I bought
