Thanks!

I did do some modding to it, but only to the lighting. I replaced it with a strip of SMD 5050 so I can control it with a remote, it runs off the same setup my case lighting does. The faceplate I made from another front panel of a 350D I bought from Corsair. I also contacted Monsoon for a drawing of the front I could use as a stencil and they gave one to me. It took a few tries to get it right. I used a hand nibbler and some hand files. It's a single pump D5, MCP655-PWM. The housing around it does silence it quite a bit. I can only hear it when I put my ear up next to it.

Wow all I can say is it looks beautiful. I don't know if you are willing to, but if you were to make another face plate for that res, how much? It looks perfect

That's an awful lot of fans lol!

However I could put my 2 af140 LED fans in the top as exhaust. Put the 120 fans that come with the h100i in the front of the case and then the 2 sp120s on the back of the rad all as intake. Then put the af120 on the rear as exhaust. Would that work?

How loud are the fans that come stock on the h100i? This is going to be in my bedroom and I don't want it to be too loud. That's the entire point with switching from my HAF-X to this with quiet fans. The HAF isn't really that loud but I want smaller and as quiet as possible.

Or would I be better off leaving the stock 140 that comes with the case by itself in the front and mounting the h100i with sp120s on it behind that in the front of the case?

ya that configuration would absolutely work too, still essentially same concept. I had a couple 120mm LED fans from Corsair that I had mounted up top as well, So I can understand why you want those in particular up top instead of out in front. I didnt pay close enough attention to exactly what fans you said you were using.

Ive never owned an H100i personally so I cant speak for fan noise, but I would assume its not going to be terribly quiet nor loud. Its basic and one of several, they all serve a general purpose and thus doesnt need any drastic qualities to achieve a said goal, other than simple cooling.

Sorry, but I don't want to, lol. It looks that good because it took me many, many tries. I went through 3 front panels, each panel gave me 3 tries, and I got it on the 8th try. You can look at my build log (in my sig) for more details on how I did it, along with the stencil/drawing I used. Perhaps you could find someone local or in the artisan area here that can make it.

Finally start the slot load optical drive bay cover modding. The upper front panel cover modding is next...

Nice thumb.gif

Just make sure the edges are smooth as to not scratch the cd/DVD, a light file with a finger nail file would do the trick.
