The acrylic tubing for water cooling is "possibly" going to run from the pump, under the mobo tray and up through holes in the tray...this is why the tray is oversized for the motherboard its self....
Ahh makes sense. The PSU inside its own housing is a neat idea. Just make sure that, depending how you plan to have your cables sleeved, that you you have enough room for them to fit through. Sleeving them all the way down to the PSU case will make those wires bigger, thus needing a bigger hole to occupy the same number of cables. If your PSU will be fully modular, this will not be as prominent as a semi modular or non modular PSU.
Just had a quick idea about the tubing for the cables, too.. Which would you go for in routing the cables, round tubing? or squared? To me, squared, although possibly quite a bit more difficult to make, or find pre built, would look alot more streamlined with all the angles and edges, than round tubing. Although of course finding it or making it would be the real issue.
Question though about the tubing for the water cooling side. Why wouldnt you want the tubing for that aspect to be seen? I mean, using acrylic tubing for it, would mean you could create angles and curves to fit inside the case and bequite the eye catching display from the wall. Especially if you are going to make the Radiators in their own housings on either side. Run each radiator to a reservoir, then feed inside the case itself and route across the top of everything to where it needs to go. Where everyone can see and follow the path of water flow?
Will you also be placing any LED lights inside? to accent certain areas? You did show that without light, the purple acrylic pieces are not very see through. Which would make most of the case un-viewable without some sort of internal light source.
You can tell I'm quite interested in this build haha.
And do you mean through the oval to the outside of the case and down the wall itself to make it clean?
Which part of my last post are you referring to? the sata cables? no, those would be ran inside the case still. I was just saying tat it wouldnt take much space right behind the HDD cage for that cable to be attached, and the HDD cage to be facing out horizontally.
Also, even though I'm not well versed in water cooling, make sure or find out form some one who knows for sure, if the distance between radiators, reservoirs and pump will matter for flow rate. As you wouldnt want to lose too much flow rate with it trying to reach so far to each radiator and not have enough force to make it back.Edited by Destrto - 6/20/13 at 8:34pm
