Time to upgrade! - Page 2

i wouldn"t upgrade right now. your rig looks solid. 9gb is still plenty. you could save up for a big upgrade next year when haswell-e hits the market. that would most likely give you enough power to last the rest of the generation.

Not much really no, especially not in gaming.

Sweet, then I think I will go with Ripjaws or Vengeance 12gb @1600/1800
Now left to know if worth to change platform (1155)

Now you got me thinking, the idea of upgrade came for not finding upgrades, parts are getting limited.
Yeah 9gb for gaming is more than enough, but for rendering, modeling and image/video editing I would rather to have more.

Like if I was planning to kill my mobo when I posted this.

My mobo just died so time to upgrade want it or not.
Man just replaced the GPU few weeks ago, I had to see this coming.

BIOS downgrade, bios got installed as usual but, when it come the reboot step just got stuck, doing 5 beeps code.

Had been having troubles with games (Steam games), none steam were running fine, I tried stable nvidia drivers (by stable I mean drivers I was using before with no issue), install-reinstall steam many times, different methods, run prime95, memset, autopsy and a bunch of programs for stress without a single error, still performance was bad.

All I had left was BIOS, I was updated bios couple of weeks ago.
So I gave it a chance and well... bricked mobo.

Had been googling for solution but can't find anything.

Gotta have to do a research on 920 prices this days.
but if you feel like pm me a offer I would consider it.

I think I will go 1155 so, no need for 1366 cpu right now.
