Two Antec Nine Hundreds - First Version (Left) Revised Version (Right)

First Version (Left) Revised Version (Right)

Close up of First Version - Notice the raised divider between the I/O shield and expansion slots

Revised Edition Closeup - Divider has been removed and a little extra clearance around expansion slot has been added

Case was bought in early December from Amazon, so be aware that there may be some early versions still out there. Antec support was great in communication and delivered on their promise but they were a tad slow.

Hope this has been enough 'proof' for you.
Cheers.

Same thing happened to me.

Its not THAT bad. It depends a lot on your motherboard. It happened to me when I was using an Abit board. I got it to work anyway, no plastic or steel removal required.

It was a bad problem for some. You can find long heated discussions about it by doing a google for "warning antec 900". One guy waited 3 months for his replacement so I don't feel that bad.
Its an old news issue, but I felt I had to respond to the post that claimed that the Antec 900 had no such issues, which is completely false.

Now I'm just wondering what I should do with this extra 200mm fan. Mod the side panel? Heh.

I've seen the proof (can't remember where -been around quite a few sites in last 24 hrs) but basically the chap is correct on the rev 1 of this case Antec have made a mistake with their measurements and a brd in the first slot on some m/b's will not allow you to plug the dvi cable in. Apparantly there is a rev 2 case out now!!!!

I have the first edition and I have the problem. That is you can not connect the DVI adapter unless you modify the case. I have been in contact with Antec and I have been waiting for months to get a replacement case. When you pay $150 for something you should not have to modify it to get it to work. The rep told me they would mail me a 2nd edition case without the doors. I am still waiting.

See below for emails that I have had with one of their support persons:

Tom,

I will send you the case as soon as we receive the shipment. We too are waiting on the shipment, cases are not made here at Antec. Currently they have been on order and are supposed to be arriving soon. I am sorry for the delay, I will make sure yours goes out as soon as we get them.

Hi Jeff,

It has been a week since your last update and it stated that I would be next in line to get my case. How long does it take to get one case made? Surely not a week? I have now been waiting for 5 weeks to get my case. How much longer before I get it. I am trying to be really patience and not complain but this is not getting to be ridiculous. Please send my case.

Thanks, tom

I can not give you an exact date. it can take anywhere from a week - two weeks. Most of the time they get out pretty fast.

As I said, Antec was slow, that is until I told the rep that I would hold Antec responsible for all damages incurred by any defective components that could not be thoroughly tested and RMA'd due to the extended wait for a replacement case (since they were purchased at the same time as the case for the build).
The replacement case was shipped the next day.

I'm pretty sure that the revision 1 problem affects those with AGP boards, not PCI-e. Either way, as stated they will send you a new chassis free of charge.
