Really depends, do you want closed or open? open headphones typically have more soundstage, but you can hear background noises etc. No isolation. Closed headphones typically offer better bass response and isolation but typically the sound stage isn't as good.
If you want closed some things you can look at are audio technica a900x or the ad900x (ad is open) beyerdynamics dt 770's.
Its hard for me to say, I don't have a ton of headphone experience but I do own the AD700's and these
in white, I use one my ad700's for music and my v-modas for music lisnening. I am pretty specific about what I like, headphones that have a lot of clamping force hurt my ears and head which narrowed down my stuff.
IF you really just want gaming headphones, and all you play is FPS games like call of duty, battlefield, planetside 2 I would say you will be fine with dt770's but if you find yourself playing moba's, mmo's etc where generally audio que's aren't needed to exceed and play music in the background you'll wannt something better. If you want to watch some movies and actually have that nice bass feeling like in a theather, or listen to some music with bass you will be disasspointed.
I would ask in the audio forum for some more advice/threads because I am not really as experienced as those guys or the people on head-fi.org. Something else to note is that most people that are really into high end audio products exaggerate many different things about specific products.. while something may be "lacking bass" to some means it may be perfect for others.. vice versa.
