I've found a mouse with a worse shape than the G303...

Cougar 600M.

The right side has a harsh inwards angle and combined with the fact that RMB hangs over the edge of the mouse means you can very easily activate RMB with your ring finger. The harsh angle would be fine if RMB wasn't like that.

The encoder on it is excellent, though. Definitely ALPS. Better than Roccat.

But Roccat is ALPS.

Hence the reason I'm comparing them smile.gif The ALPS in the 600M feels better than the KPM to me thumb.gif

received one today, but haven't gotten around to opening it yet.
bottom says 16/02/2006, but i don't know if that actually implies date of manufacturing. S/N: 05020206032005622
i already prefer the shape over the copperhead and diamondback, and it makes me realize that the G100s is too bulky for me.

it's still in pretty good shape, it's just the scroll wheel that's having some trouble (gets very heavy every few notches). minor clicking issue on M1 as well.

edit: holy.. moly, this LOD is so high

and apparently some versions of the Krait have a triangularly-shaped screw (TA i think), maybe those are the earliest versions? mine has a regular + screw

All of the ones I have ever seen have the triangle screw. Early Kingis/Zowie mice had it too.

If you can get it open, the pcb will tell you what rev it is.

Hello,

I have a SteelSeries I-2 black and bought the G502 to replace my dying G500. I had no issue at all despite the optical on glass surface. Unfortunately I hated the thumb surface and sniper button placement so I shipped it back.

Do you think I will have any issue with the I-2 if I go for the Castor and its 3310 ?

I have a custom glass mousepad that is like the frosted 'translucent' I-2, but no 3310 mice currently - although, I can say that the Kana v1 3350DK? sensor, works really well on it.
I think 3310 should be even better in those regards.

used it with old mice like MLT04 sensors and all that stuff and no issues.
only issue was when using WMO with Puretrak HD feet cause of the distance between pad and sensor.

was making pictures, but battery died.

Rev:C
switches for M1 and M2 are D2FC-F-N
M3 uses one of those switches used in the WMO, one of those tiny black ones. probably expected.
MCU is an Elan EM78M611ACM, missing the J at the end. no idea what that means, sorry for the useless information.

KS-0548-M01 <- does that mean KingSis? ( the Rev:D i've seen pictures of says Razer-0548-M01: http://benyouhuifile.it168.com/forum/201304/12/114655r7p7aik8sj8a7mr8.jpg )
and the sensor plate has a sun logo on it, rather than an A. what's the difference?
Yeah that's the first revision. I assume the button latency is the same? Different?

good lord. 12,9ms slower than G100s

edit: also:
