I've a very specific mouse handling: my ring finger is next to the right click button at the same level, I palm in the desktop and I finger tip while gaming. The G5 was the perfect mouse for this.

Once the mouse wheel started leaking I replaced it with the G500 (since the G5 was discontinued), my in game performance went down a bit but I dealt with it. Now the G500 is double clicking or the click don't stay pressed.

Now I would like to know if there is another gaming mouse with the same shape than the G5. I tried the G502 but the sniped button forced a claw shape, so I sent it back.
I tried the FK-1 and i'm doing OK with it due to it's very low weight, but I don't like the "no CPI customization" and I lost a little bit of confort once again. I may try the EC-1A if they were the same weight but that wont fix the CPI issue.

So any idea ?

Thanks for your help smile.gif
Just try and get a g400?

i see the G400 and G400s pop up relatively often. most are too expensive imo, but if you just keep monitoring for a while, you can definitely get one for a decent price

hard to imagine your performance going down after moving from the G5 to the G500, arguably the G500 has a much better sensor. but maybe it's the increased acceleration throwing you off.

anyway, what's wrong with the lack of cpi customization of the FK? are you used to a cpi step that's far from any that the FK offers? or do you want on-the-fly buttons at the top of the mouse?

I went from a 1100 cpi to 1300 cpi, since I went from a 17" 1280*1024 to a 24" 1920*1200 at that time. The 1300 was a trade off because the 1100 felt too slow but I guess I never picked up the increased sensitivity. I also perceived a weird acceleration in the G500 that I never experienced in the G5. I increased later to 1400 cpi when i switched to 2560*1440, and I still noticed the acceleration issue.

My 1400 cpi settings is the reason why I'm not too keen on the FK-1, I don’t need a multiple on the fly button on the mouse but I don't like the forced fixed value. I'm sad that the G402 has the sniper button, and the G400s is EOL, I feel like I'm 2 year late to replace my mouse. Now I really like the low weight of the FK-1, I'm going for a relaxed claw now in desktop and 1600 cpi, maybe it will grow on me... I will keep monitoring the G400s price until then.

It's offensive to mankind, yes, yes.

QSenn GP-M5000, Avago 5050 sensor.

There was a recent controversy where "Gegury", a top Korean Overwatch pro player, was accused of cheating but cleared of suspicion after a live demonstration.

According to her Twitter, this is the mouse that she use.

Decided to spend a couple minutes to Google after seeing someone mentioning that she uses a $9 mouse.

Good on her for using a cheap mouse and proving to everyone you don't need an expensive device to beat your opponents when it comes to gaming thumbsupsmiley.png .

Just to mention it, nobody in the western hemisphere thought that, because in all honesty it wasnt impressive, i also didnt like how it was propagandized. I mean what you sometimes see from Asia is, rather weird to say the least, like the 43 second run where nobody was even shooting back. (inb4 bay area people screaming misogyny and racism)
